A vintage compact mirror and lipstick case crafted in high quality mother of pearl c.1950. This set has never been used. It is in super condition. The brass is lacquered and so it will not need to be cleaned nor will it tarnish. The compact is suitable for loose powder. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The mirror gives a clear and accurate reflection. The original pouch, puff, sifter and presentation case are included. The lipstick twist up mechanism works exactly as it should. The case is lined with pink silk and crimson velvet. The exterior case is clad in synthetic material made to look like snake skin. The compact measures almost 3" and weighs 87.9 grams. The lipstick holder weighs 27 grams and measures slightly over 2". The case is fashioned to form a display stand.
