We've used steel for the poles and oversized pegs. And polycotton canvas is highly UV resistant, lasting up to 4x longer than polyester or nylon flysheets.

The classic A-frame structure is incredibly stable in strong winds and creates loads of internal space. And, because it's much more UV resistant, you can put it up and leave it up on summer camping holidays without worrying about the flysheet catching too much sun.
